Right and Left.
(female version)
It was a cold stormy night,
Chilly winds that blinded the sight.
A couple was walking on the beach,
The guy in black and the gal in peach.
The guy said Weather is nice
The gal just blinked thrice.
He thought that today is the day.
She thought that today is the day.
The guy asked, So, what next?
The gal was still painting the picture in text.
Raising her brow, she said, Lets have a blast
He smiled and hoped that it just lasts.
Soon they were having a lot of fun,
And her heart weighed more than a ton.
Didnt know when to drop the sign,
Hoped that all would fall in line.
Finally, when they were about to depart,
The guy wanted to hold his heart.
She pulled out a card from somewhere,
And her eyes sported a small tear.
She said This is from me to you,
I guess this was a little due.
Dont open it till you go back,
And yes, this one is no prank.
Every second her anxiety would grow.
If they would speak again, she didnt know.
So she said a small Bye,
And was unable to see in his eye.
His eyes glowed with a sparkle,
He knew that this was a miracle.
He never had to do a lot,
But he knew what shes got.
He opened the card very fast,
And the moon had its shadow cast.
As he read, a tear rolled on his cheeks,
He was waiting for this for weeks.
He wanted to call her,
To say that she loves her.
But his eyes fell on the card somehow,
He saw the date, and said Not Now.
He realised it wasnt right,
She would be married by in a fortnight.
